Pregnant women with higher blood levels of PBDEs, a common class of flame retardants, had altered thyroid hormone levels -- a fact that could have implications for fetal health.
PBDEs, or polybrominated diphenyl ethers, are organobromine compounds which are found in household items such as carpets, electronics and plastics. PBDEs can leach out into the environment and accumulate in human fat cells.
Eurekalert reports:
"Studies suggest that PBDEs can be found in the blood of up to 97 percent of U.S. residents, and at levels 20 times higher than those of people in Europe.

You may have read the info I share on how to support your body to have strong healthy teeth. Perhaps you even read about my toothpaste recipe? Did you try making it? Either way, my global search for an excellent toothpaste has ended - for now. I've look in many countries around the globe for what I consider to be a good toothpaste. Until now, the only one I found without glycerine was in Italy. I think the actual toothpaste was made in Germany. I've not found that brand anywhere else.
However, now I've found what I consider to be an ideal toothpaste.

Today I was blessed to receive a poem. It was written by someone I have only just now (after receiving the poem) made some acquaintance with. Her mother sent me the poem, feeling I may well enjoy it. I most certainly did. May you too derive joy from what I consider to be a most wonderful poem. The author of this poem is a writer, and is 10 years of age. I am so happy to be publishing her poem to my website. What a great gift.

Bill Hicks is a comedian I greatly admire for his contribution to humanity. He's not every body's cup of tea, being a comedian and satirist with what some might call a "twisted sense of humor". In 1994 he has passed on to where ever Life took him after this "ride" called Bill. Yet he has left a legacy of wisdom to those who are able to enjoy his sense of humor. Bill delivers his messages through comedy, a medium I greatly enjoy. So many "spiritual" teachings are way to dry for my liking, despite their apparent depth.
Enjoy this video from Bill Hicks.

Here is further exploration on the nature of "I" and the ego. This time from the perspective of Sri Nisargdatta Maharaj. He was a mystic in India. There are books with his teachings in them. The one I enjoyed at the time (15 years ago now) was I AM THAT. I greatly enjoyed reading this book and I highly recommend it. A link to it is below.
Enjoy, and feel free to comment and discus.
